Yamaha 200 HP 4-Stroke Outboard - 20 Inch Shaft
The Yamaha 200 HP outboard engine utilizes a 2.8-liter, 16-valve DOHC inline 4-cylinder architecture. This 4-stroke powerhead features Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) and a 1.86:1 gear ratio to manage power delivery across a wide RPM range. The unit is equipped with a digital electronic control system, also known as Drive-by-Wire, which manages shifting and throttle response through electrical signals rather than mechanical cables. Weighing approximately 487 lbs, the engine includes a 50-amp alternator to support onboard electronics and a power trim and tilt system for hull leveling. This motor is designed for installation on center consoles, bay boats, and pontoon boats requiring a 20-inch transom height. Compatibility is based on standard BIA bolt patterns and NMEA 2000 networking protocols.
